I am just catching up on my star blocks that they are doing on
Quiltingboard.com and I have so far gotten 6 stars completed. Here is January. Sorry about the blurry picture but you get the idea.

Then February came along and they came up with a really tough block. I was my first paper piece! The one you see below is my second attempt and I really like it.

March was not much easier for me. Luckily, by the time I got to this block I had purchased Carol Doak's instructional DVD and It made paper piecing so much more simple and enjoyable! I bought it use on Ebay, yeah!

Alaska Star |
March was easier for me. "The star is the Alaska star from the 'Heavens to Betsy' Quilt published by 'Quilter's Newsletter' in June of 2005."
Pattern link I dreaded it but loved the way it turned out once I finally got it done. A heartfelt thank you to Carol. I really want her stars book now that comes the "Foundation Factory" program. I understand that it will let you print the stars in any size.
